The Story
I wrote my first Trop Rock song Back in Time. It was released in January 2025. AT that time I had a backlog of music I wanted to record from multiple genres; rock, reggae, jazz as well as others. After completing that song I went on to record a rock song that I released, and eventually removed from streaming platform. I sent that song to several Trop Rock radio stations, and Andy Forsyth reached out to me about performing at Trop Rock'N Duval. He thought I would need at least 4 Trop Rock songs, so I went to work. I had written the chorus to this song in a pop music writing class at Berklee College of Music. I was the first piece of music I ever wrote in the reggae style. I always do a mock up of a song in my own studio, and that's what we work off of on all of my songs so far. Not being so familiar with this genre, I was very nervous recording it, but I had great musicians who made the track! I tabled in some more country leaning Trop Rock over the next few songs, I am pretty much writing exclusively reggae now.
