The Barefoot Man, born George Nowak in Munich and raised in North Carolina, is a calypso, reggae, and soca entertainer and songwriter who has performed in the Cayman Islands since 1971, earning his nickname for playing without shoes. He has composed roughly 2,000 songs and recorded about 500, and wrote "Money, Money, Money" for the 1993 film The Firm. His honors include the Cayman Islands National Heritage Award and the Stingray Tourism Award.
