Charlie Imes

Charlie Imes is a San Diego-based singer-songwriter who plays laid-back, jazzy beach-folk-rock with tropical influences. Born in San Antonio and raised in Los Angeles, he developed his sound on Southern California beaches before becoming a fixture in the trop-rock and Parrothead communities. His debut album "On an Island" (2008) was nominated for a San Diego Music Award, and later releases include "Summer's Here" (2014) and "Gypsy Soul." He often performs nationally and with his backing band, the Hodad Surf Club.
