Eric Stone is a Texas-born troubadour and Caribbean crooner whose tropical, island-flavored music draws on characters and stories he has met traveling the world. After learning guitar as a child and playing rock in high school, an airline job brought him to Florida and later Hawaii, where he picked up the ukulele and his sound turned tropical before he moved to Nashville to write seriously. A longtime favorite among sailors and cruisers, his albums include Long Boards & Short Stories (2005), home to the fan favorite "Somewhere South of Somewhere."
