Hugo Duarte (1955–2014) was a trop-rock singer-songwriter born in Greenville, South Carolina, of Cuban, Chinese, and Scots-Irish ancestry. He blended country, bluegrass, Southern rock, blues, R&B, and island music into an eclectic style, and was a regular on the Key West music scene as a solo performer and with The Full Sail Band. He played famed venues including Sloppy Joe's, the Hog's Breath Saloon, and the Pier House, and released albums such as "Don't Be Fooled By the Hat" and "Live in Key West." His songs include "Another Day In Paradise" and "Key West Heart."
