Jim Morris was a trop-rock singer-songwriter from Georgia who, after 15 years as a corporate HR executive, left the business world in 1996 to write and perform songs about sailing, fishing, and island life. His debut album "Laid Back and Key Wasted" (1996) launched a Gulf and Western catalog that included later records such as "Working Hard To Do Nothing" (2010) and "Melodrama" (2013). He fronted the Big Bamboo Band and ran his own label, Fish Head Music, until his death in 2016.
