Keith Sykes (born October 24, 1948, in Memphis) is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer who first surfaced in 1969 with a self-titled LP on Vanguard. He spent time in Key West and Jimmy Buffett's touring Coral Reefer Band, and co-wrote Buffett classics including "Volcano" and "Coast of Marseilles." More than 100 of his songs have been recorded by artists such as John Prine, Rosanne Cash, The Judds, and George Thorogood, making him a foundational figure in the trop-rock and Americana songwriting world.
