Rob Mehl is a trop-rock singer-songwriter from Oceanside, California who spent his youth between Southern California and Hawaii, where he learned to surf and play music. He describes his sound as "beach-flavored acoustic folk songs — chill music with a hint of island-jazz," and was nominated three consecutive years for Trop Rock Music Awards, winning 2011 Song of the Year for "Waiting For Jimmy." He has released eight albums over a career of touring worldwide.
