The Story
This song began following TRND 2025. A few things happened there to make this song possible. One, I met Harold Boothe. Two, I had the chance to play a bunch of Buffett songs at The Chart Room - one of the best musical moments of my life. Three, I stopped at Castaway in Marathon on the way home and posted a picture of my beer on Facebook with the caption “Last Beer of Vacation” My new friend Harold saw this and immediately started messaging me that we needed to write that as a song We wrote it over the next week or so. It is somewhat of a memoir of that week in Key West, and a bit of a tribute to the magic that can happen when writers, fans, and friends get together in The Keys
